It was the middle of the day. I had a great run with my Pokemon partners. We'd just beaten a gym, and now, we needed to stop by the Pokemon Center. I'm Ryan, and I'm pursuing a great achievement in being the best of the best of all Pokemon Trainers! I had broken my left arm recently. I had it in a white colored casting, but that hasn't held me back! I keep on battling until the end of the day!

I had approached a somewhat special Pokemon Center. It was on the edge of the city. There was a thick woodland area behind it. There were also few houses which surrounded it. There was a slowly decaying sign that said, Welcome to the Pokemon Center! We heal your Pokemon AND YOU!

'Maybe they can help with my arm...?' I thought to myself.

I saw my reflection in the window. Scruffy light-brown hair, green eyes, a normal face, tall for my pre-teen age of thirteen, standing at 5 and a half feet tall. It was bitter out, and getting late. I scurried inside quickly.

"Hello, and would you like to heal your Pokemon?" the nurse asked.

"Yes please." I asked.

"Okay, let me take your Pokemon." she winked.

I took out my team of 6, and handed them over. She moved them to the back room. I sat down at one of the couches and read some of the newspaper. It wasn't too interesting, but I spread anyway. It would be a while before she would return anyway.

A doctor figure came out of the same door a little while later.

"Oh! I have the perfect thing to fix that broken arm of yours!" he exclaimed.

"Y-you do?" I asked, dumbfounded.

"Why, yes I do! Come with me. I'll fix it right up!" he smiled. I didn't see too many people waiting here, so I followed the doctor.

I followed him down a small hallway into his office. It had lots of remedies prepared.

"Do you... Make healing items?" I asked.

"Yes. I do. This is why I assorted them. They work on humans and Pokemon respectively. Now I just have to find... That one..." he scanned his potion-like cylinders.

I took a glance around the office. I saw small posters for tournaments, ads from PokeMarts, and other things a normal doctor would have.

"Ah! Here we go!" he exclaimed.

"This! This'll do perfectly for that injury!" he smiled, holding a vial of something that was dark. "Just drink it, and you'll feel much better..." he handed me the vial. It had a dark, purplish color.

I think I'd stared at it too long, because the doctor had said, "It's not as bad as it looks... You'll feel much better..." he assured.

I thought about it, and saw the benefit, and drank what was in the vial. Suddenly my arm felt much much better.

"I-I-It worked?" I said, confused.

"I told you it would!" he smirked.

"Oh... I don't... Feel so good..." I reacted. I felt a strange essence from somewhere. I think it was the drawback from the medicine.

"It's just working it's wonders don't worry." he said coolly.

There was something in my cast that felt off. My arm felt like it... Grew... I glanced at my fingers. I wiggled them a bit, but they were fine. I looked at my other arm. Fine too.

"So, you feeling alright?" he asked.

"Yeah much better. Hey, can you take off this cast?" I asked.

"Sure I can do that." he nodded.

He took out a small, dull knife. He slowly and carefully sliced the cast open. I didn't look.

"That's it. It's off. No need for it anymore!" I heard the doctor say.

I opened my eyes and looked. This arm was jet black and covered with fur. I touched it, it was like a silky scarf, but incredibly rough looking. My hand was now a paw with extended red claws. I was frozen still.

"What's the problem?" the doctor asked cheerfully.

"Y-you... W-w-what... H-h-happened...?" I muttered.

"Oh, yeah... There are some... Minor side effects..." he said cheekily.

As I continued to talk, the more this, "healing" effect spread. I saw it snake up my unbroken left arm and up. I was still frozen in place. I was unsure if this was fear, or shock, or both.

"Don't worry. This was supposed to happen." the doctor finally clarified.

"S-s-supposed.... To?!" I stuttered.

"Well, now that you have this," he said, closing the office door. "Here's our little Pokemon Center's secret!"

The man gave of a smirk, and a purple energy surrounded him. The light was blinding, I quickly looked away.

Standing in front of me was a Zoroark. Basically your average one, but wearing glasses.

"Well, it's true. I've been in the science business for a long time. So has the nurse. She and I are brother and sister. She heals and releases the Pokemon fro Trainers, and I have the Trainers join their Pokemon. It's all one big happy family in the end!" he cheered.

"Wh-wh-WHAT?! S-SO... W-WHY?!" I yelled. "YOU TALK?!"

"Yes. I learned your language. It's easy. My motive in this whole business is because Unova trainers seem to stiff. They need to loosen up a little, and see how their Pokemon feel. So I do this for a living." he winked.

"Ergh... But... Why me?" I asked.

"Because. I need you to take over my office. You seem cut out for the job. And I did it to heal that broken arm of yours. So it's a win-win here. I want to spread this out to other regions, so I want you to take over here. All you have to do is select a random colored vial, and the Trainer becomes a specific Pokemon depending on the vials. They're all numbered like the NationalDex, as you Trainers say, so there's no messing up." he informed.

"B-but... Well I see your point... B-but why me and what am I becoming?" I asked.

"Simple. Look here, and at yourself." he held up a mirror. There was a Zoroark in the reflection. I had been fully changed and I hadn't noticed.

"IS TH-THIS REAL?!" I cried, touching my "new" face.

"That's a special effect of my medicines. They heal, transform, and the patients don't even realize! Start up a juicy conversation, and they won't even know what's happening! Ask them their favorite Pokemon first, just so you are sure that they like their new form. I put you as a Zoroark like myself so you can be a Pseudo-Human doctor and not get caught by anyone! There's a back-door into the woods down the hall, so anyone who feels like running free goes out there. Well I hope I explained everything. I'm gonna be right back." he informed.

He left the room swiftly. I wasn't sure if he was sane, or I was sane anymore. All a ploy just to make me like other Trainers... WHAT IS THIS?! I didn't move or bother look. I just laid back on the small operating table I was sitting on. I heard my heavy breathing, and felt my heavy fur on my back. I thought I was dreaming. I pinched myself with my claws. Nothing. This was sadly real.

"Okay!" the doctor burst in. "And, now I leave you to do business." he said.

"Wait!" I called. "How the heck do I preform illusions? And how do I speak human to my patients?"

"Illusions are simple. You just think in your mind what you want to be, and it just happens. And your medication gave you the ability to keep your speech. Not all medicines have that though. Now do you understand?" he said.

"Yes. Thank you. I'll be sure to do my best!" I gave him my best peace-sign.

"Great! Now I'm off for new regions!" he called, scurrying out.

The doctor was right. The illusions were simple, and I was back to myself in just a few seconds. I could alter who I was as well. I made myself look older, and had the same lab coat as the doctor did. Perfect disguise.

'The doctor job would be really fun,' I thought. 'I wonder who's my first victim...'
